Note: all beacons shipped after Dec 20, 2018 were shipped in iBeacon mode, but if you have an older beacon or if your beacon has inadvertently been set into Eddystone UID or URL mode, here’s how to get it back to iBeacon mode.
While the beacon is on, you can change the broadcasting mode of the beacon by double clicking the center button. With each double click, the broadcasting mode will cycle through the three mode choices:
-After double clicking, the LED will flash green one time, indicating it has entered into iBeacon mode.
-After double clicking again, the LED will flash green two times, indicating it has entered into Eddystone-UID mode. (Eddystone-UID mode is not supported with this beacon. Attempting to modify the UID settings may irrecoverably damage your beacon.)
-After double clicking again, the LED will flash green three times, indicating it has entered into Eddystone-URL mode. (Eddystone-URL mode is not supported with this beacon. Attempting to modify the URL settings may irrecoverably damage your beacon.)
-After double clicking again, the LED will flash green one time, indicating it has entered back into iBeacon mode.
(and so on and so forth, in a cycle)
Using the above described double click method, set the beacon in iBeacon mode before continuing to configure the settings.
